Abstract
Open-source data schemes are increasingly crucial for scientific data storage, promoting early sharing of software, data, and knowledge, along with robust long-term preservation. This project integrates HDF5 and USID open standards into the established ORD worldwide project at EPFL: the Open-Source SPM controller. Addressing current file scheme weaknesses, this implementation allows access to the vibrant Pycroscopy open software ecosystem, leveraging existing functionalities and tools based on HDF5 and USID standards.
